Velorona is validated against real signal conditions before any operational step — not benchmarked against synthetic data alone. This page describes our validation methodology.

How validation works

Controlled Real-Signal Testing

Validation runs against real network telemetry under controlled conditions, including microwave and backhaul scenarios where fragmented, delayed telemetry makes early intervention hardest to justify from raw data alone.

Lead-Time Measurement

We measure Operational Decision Lead-Time (ODLT) and Operational Lead Time (OLT) — the gap between the first meaningful deviation and the point a stable, defensible decision can be made.

False-Warning Assessment

Every qualified signal is assessed against its false-warning rate before being considered decision-grade — noise is tracked and characterized, not discarded blindly.

Operator-Defined Success Criteria

Validation success is defined jointly with the operator — the criteria that matter for a specific network, not a generic benchmark.

Historical Replay & Shadow-Mode Validation

Before any live step, Velorona is evaluated against historical data, then deployed read-only in shadow mode to confirm fit under real operating conditions — without operational risk.
